It’s a huge credit to everyone who helped to make David Wolfe’s first visit to Australia this year such an overwhelming success – he felt so very welcome with your great Aussie spirit and enthusiasm – that he can’t wait to come back!

I’ve just received the fantastic news that David will be hitting our shores again next February to take us on a more in-depth and intensive journey into the world of health, longevity, grounding, and all things that enhance our ability to live life to the full.

Throughout the tour this year, many of you expressed that you would have liked to have spent some more time with David, and gone into the topics he spoke about in much more detail – and your requests for longer seminars have been answered.

As well as some three hour lectures, David will be holding one-day intensives in certain capital cities, and will be introducing a very special two-day workshop in Sydney only. There will also be an exclusive retreat, and many other special events to look forward to.

The 2010 David Wolfe Tour is all wrapped up and our US friends are back home and on to their next adventure.  The tour was a fantastic success and I hope everyone around the country enjoyed the inspiration, motivation and information that was shared at every event.

Thank you to everyone who assisted in making the tour such a good one – it is the combined effort and energy of many people to carry off a tour of this magnitude and it shows what can be done when like-minded people work towards a common (and exciting!) goal.

David has mentioned coming back again next year for some more intensive full day or weekend workshops, so stay tuned to this site for when we release those details.

It was with great excitement that we met the arrival of our US visitors – David Wolfe, Bruce Horowitz and assistant Juliana Garske- and welcomed them to Australia on February 6th.

William and I picked them up from Brisbane Airport, and drove back to the not so sunny Gold Coast. Thinking that they might enjoy a walk on the beach after dinner, or a look around the famous Surfers Paradise – there was no chance of that as huge storms lashed the coast. Below is the view from our apartment window – nothing but rain!

We had fantastic raw living pizza’s, crackers and seed cheese for dinner, provided by Roar Organics, topped off with some magnificent organic greens from the amazing permaculture gardens of David’s friend Tania Leilani who joined us as well.

We left everyone to settle in, with details about a morning yoga class on the beach – hoping the rain would disappear overnight. No such luck!

Sunday was the day of the Brisbane lecture, the first event of fourteen planned over a three week time frame around Australia. Brisbane was the test run, being the very first one, and we had a full house of eager people waiting to hear from the man himself.

Our first hiccup came when we arrived at the Bardon Conference Centre. The auditorium we had booked had been flooded, thanks to the severe storms, and they had to move us to a large L shaped room which only just fit in the number of people we had coming.

Nevertheless, it turned out to be a fantastic event – David lived up to his reputation as being an extraordinary speaker and presenter, and everyone left inspired and motivated to incorporate many of the ideas he spoke about.  The food was amazing, Roar Organics and Abundant Garden both outdid themselves and kept everyone eating ecstatic raw food!

David also very generously spent time with many people in the break and before and after the talk – signing books, being photographed, and answering questions, and was happily available to everyone who attended.

It was a great night, and after the event was all packed up and finished, David, Bruce and Jules headed to Northern NSW to stay with their friend Tania.

A big thank you to everyone who handed out flyers and promoted the event locally – especially to our friends Anand & Runi at Raw Power and Jennie & Bill at Raw Pleasure and Rado from the Brisbane Meetup Group.

After a few days of rest and relaxation in the hinterland of Northern NSW, the next event was a very special one – a small group of people were privileged to spend a day at the magnificent permaculture gardens of Tania Leilani.

Nestled in the rainforest and pristine bushland, Tania has created a paradise on earth, using the natural contours of the earth to shape a wild edible garden that nourishes as much as it gives visual pleasure. Created over the past 10 years, Tania has transformed barren dairy grazing land, into a lush, fertile forest just teeming with life and energy.

The open plan style of home built from completely natural materials is a haven of peace and tranquility. Being so open you feel a part of the surrounding forest and after spending a few hours, you start to wonder how we manage to live in cities, so far removed from this type of space.

Part of the day included a tour with David and Tania, exploring the gardens and the concepts behind the way it has been planted, as well as picking food to eat straight from the garden!

The most beautiful lunch was lovingly prepared from food growing around the house, and Tania spoke about the different foods, why they were used in the combinations they were, the properties of them, their effect on the body, and even the energetics of the different plants.

After lunch, David held court in his hammock, and spent a fascinating few hours discussing all manner of subjects to do with the earth, permaculture, sustainable living, Rudolf Steiner’s work and other luminaries in this field, as well as going off on many tangents that were as diverse as they were illuminating. Bruce, being a permaculture expert, added to the discussion, as did Tania who generously shared with us her living proof of an alternative way of living. I think we could have stayed for days listening to the shared wisdom!

For everyone involved it was a magical experience and opened us all up to a new level of interest in living in harmony with the earth.

The next day saw the tour head to beautiful Byron Bay, and the weather picked up so that our US friends could enjoy the sunshine and the beaches of this iconic town.

The event was a donation only talk held at Starseed Gardens. Again, it was full to capacity and was a light-hearted, fun event.

It was a lot of fun, and many of us stayed chatting long after the actual lecture was over. Busy weekend coming up!

Our next event took the focus off the main star of the tour, and allowed Raw Food Chef Bruce Horowitz to shine at what he does best.

The first of our Chef Trainings took place at Inspya Yoga at Byron Bay, and what a gorgeous space Susan and Lance have there!

This event was sold out WAY in advance with a long waiting list of people keen to come along. There was only room for 40 guests, and at a push we stretched it to 45!

Bruce took the class on a journey through raw gourmet food creation, teaching kitchen skills, talking taste and flavours and generally creating gastronimic heaven!

He guided us through the making of Elegant Ginger-Miso Nori Rolls, Sensational Shiskebab with Cacao-Goji Barbeque Sauce, Thai Coconut Curry Soup, Hemp-Spirulina Gomasio-topped Salad and Chocolate Ganache Pie. Sensational!

After the class everyone ate their fill of raw food – and I’ve got to say the Thai Coconut Curry Soup is one of my all time favourites! I’m sure everyone at the class learnt a lot about raw food preparation and aimed to try out the recipes at home – I know I did

I’m pretty sure that this is the first time Australia has seen a Raw Cacao Party of this type – and what a fantastic night it was!

One thing I love about the people involved in the raw food scene, is their dedication to having a great time, without the need for alcohol or drugs (well, most of them anyway!). I was SO looking forward to a big night of dancing to good music, drinking raw cacao superfood elixir’s and having fun with a bunch of like-minded people.

The party started off with David Wolfe (a.k.a. Chocolate Pope Avocado Cacao) presiding over a Raw Cacao Celebration Ceremony to honour the sacred bean.

Once the ceremony was over – it was into the dancing! We were SO lucky to have Ganga Giri performing for us! This was the first time I had seen Ganga live and the music was incredible. Such energy, passion and power in the music, we danced until we dropped.

I am now a HUGE fan of Ganga Giri

Well, it was a great night and a lot of good, clean, dancin’ fun was had by all.
