Hosted by Samudra, this WA based spiritual community conducts retreats around the world and has an impressive centre in Dunsborough with stunning yoga rooms, organic garden, a cafe specialising in live, organic and vegan food, plus a retail outlet for both clothing and packaged superfoods. Founder, Sheridan Hammond, will be alongside David to share teaching in health, yoga and life experience.

Accommodation is at the Eco Certified Yallingup Forest Resort in Yallingup and guests begin each day with yoga, followed up by a flavoursome and nutrient rich breakfast prepared by the Samudra chefs. Participants will then take part in surfing, caving or bushwalking with the local Wardandi people before an afternoon and evening of talks and lectures by David, interspersed with lunch and dinner and other group activities such as a sweat lodge. Local transport is provided to and from the accommodation and to all activities.

Yoga

Join Samudra’s internationally acclaimed yoga teachers each morning to invigorate, be inspired and kick start your day on the right foot, giving you great enthusiasm for the day ahead.

Surfing

If you are not a surfer, don’t worry! You can join Yallingup Surf School with their qualified and experienced coaches for a lesson, or just sit a back and enjoy the sun and have a swim while the others are riding the waves. Surfers can bring their own equipment, but please no hard boards in the lessons.

Adventure Caving

Under the expert guidance of the tour leaders of NgilGi Cave, be enthralled by this ancient cave with its stunning array of stalactites, stalagmites, shawls and columns, rich in colour and textures. The cave holds ancient local Aboriginal tribe secrets and has a stunning natural amphitheatre that hosted a concert by opera singer Dame Nellie Melba. The original tourist destination of this tourist Mecca, NgilGi Cave is not to be missed.

Wardan Cultural Centre

The Wardandi People are the traditional custodians of the local land including the regions now known as Busselton, Yallingup and Margaret River. These people have a strong connection to the sea, and are the custodians of the many caves in the area. Take an authentic bushwalk with members of the tribe to learn about their “lore”, way of life and ecology. A truly fascinating experience.

Sweat Lodge

The sweat lodge is a ceremony that has been used by many Native American Tribes and other indigenous people for centuries for both spiritual and physical purification. It is similar to a sauna situation with water poured over hot rocks in an enclosed hut with chanting and prayers. David Wolfe will be leading us through this traditional practice. Participation is optional.
